Scenario-local assumptions
Financing facilities, capacity rules, covenants and refinancing cases use the active Model scenario. Base provides the shared starting model; other scenarios retain their own supported overrides. Changing a scenario recomputes its debt, cash and credit metrics. A previously saved override can become unavailable when its underlying source changes or is removed. Do not recreate a missing source merely by relying on an old displayed label.
Compare up to three configured cases
Debt Capacity’s Compare scenarios table accepts up to three scenarios. Each uses its own basis and rules, showing additional capacity, least relative headroom, first breach and status. This can explain why two scenarios with similar EBITDA have different capacity: cash, debt, interest, thresholds or financial basis may differ. Analytical comparison does not change the active Model scenario. Zero thresholds have no headroom percentage.
Follow a value to its source
Inspector follows selected financial results or retains a pinned context. Financing explains loans and gap dates; Capacity explains numerators, denominators, trailing windows and rules; Refinancing explains source debt, funding and before/after effects. Go to source opens the relevant financial input or operator. A pin retains the source/scenario/period identity while values update; a deleted scenario, loan or test produces an unavailable-context message rather than silently substituting another one.
Use supported numeric assumptions and outputs
Key Drivers, Sensitivity, Tornado, Stochastic and Reverse / Goal Seek can use available numeric Credit results. Examples include Required Funding against facility commitment, net leverage against an operating driver, or covenant headroom against an active threshold. Eligible inputs include loan rates, amortization, draw amounts and supported rule assumptions. The picker uses the actual source and causal context; not every visible field is a numeric analysis variable.
Keep analysis ownership explicit
Binding-rule names and first-breach dates are state outputs, not continuous numeric targets. Linked Minimum Cash in Capacity is a reference to its Financing input. Temporary analysis does not borrow money or permanently change scenarios; deliberate Apply solution writes supported selected inputs after validation. For a 13W target, also read plan ownership: changing a shared operational payment differs from changing an upstream scenario assumption.
