Analyze a 13W plan

Test liquidity drivers and operational cash assumptions while preserving the distinction between plan inputs and upstream Model sources.

Keep the plan, line and week identity

Select an available numeric 13W result as the Analyze target. Weekly targets retain their plan and ISO week; line results also retain the cash line and, where applicable, Business Line. Summary targets include lowest or ending cash, liquidity, headroom and peak funding amounts. First funding-gap week is a state/date-like result, not a continuous numeric target. A different plan or moved window must not silently substitute for a saved source.

Choose the assumption at its actual source

Supported numeric sources include manual weekly amounts, precision overrides, recurring amounts, dated payment amounts and eligible timing-profile percentages. Registered discrete fields, such as a monthly pay day, retain their integer bounds. A linked Model baseline is read-only: choose its upstream operating input if the question concerns business economics, or a supported plan input if it concerns operational cash. Dates, plan names and method selectors are not ordinary continuous inputs.

Vary a profile without breaking its total

A profile percentage uses a disclosed balancing companion offset so the total remains 100%. The selected share’s permitted range must also keep the companion between 0% and 100%. For example, increasing a 30% share to 40% reduces its balancing 70% share to 60%. Inputs whose selected or companion offsets overlap cannot be combined as independent simulation or solve variables. This is constrained timing analysis, not independent sampling of every profile bucket.

Ask a specific operational question

Use Sensitivity or Tornado to compare the effect of available cash assumptions on ending cash or Required Funding. Stochastic can vary supported uncertain sources and evaluate a numeric liquidity threshold. Reverse / Goal Seek can search bounded supported inputs for a cash or funding goal with additional constraints. When an operational override is not yet saved, Stochastic and Reverse can use the current operational value as its starting value; that still represents a plan override, not a rewrite of the upstream Model source.

Review ownership before applying a solution

Temporary runs do not permanently alter the plan or Model. Reverse Preview shows a candidate through the connected calculation; Apply solution validates current sources and writes the supported selected inputs. A 13W input belongs to the shared operational plan across scenarios, while a selected upstream Model assumption follows its own scenario ownership. The result’s applicability and source availability must still hold at Apply. See Preview and Apply for the common safety and staleness workflow.
