13W validation and limitations

Resolve incomplete windows, invalid profiles and missing sources before relying on an operational cash result.

Use a complete forecast window

Choose a Monday start with thirteen complete ISO weeks inside the forecast. A partial or out-of-range window cannot provide a valid full plan. A changed Model calendar can therefore make an existing plan unavailable until its start is moved. Opening cash either comes from the linked starting balance or an explicit plan amount; historical actual cash is not rewritten to make the plan fit.

Repair the cause of a blocked calculation

Profiles require distinct whole-week offsets from 0 to 52 and percentages totaling 100%. Invalid profiles do not quietly normalize or produce a partial cash forecast. Missing linked sources, incompatible saved dependent inputs and invalid Financing configuration also need review. Restore the original source or remove the unmapped dependency where offered. Independent detached lines can remain useful, but their values are no longer evidence of a live Model link.

Saved does not mean inside this window

Outside this window distinguishes carry-in, future profile amounts, dated overrides and manual inputs outside the visible weeks. Those inputs remain stored on their dates unless explicitly shifted relatively or removed. After changing a start date or duplicating a plan, inspect the outside counts and future amounts before assuming a missing payment has disappeared. A payment can remain valid but contribute nothing to the current thirteen-week total.

Practical saved-data bounds

A plan supports up to 500 saved rule entries, 500 line definitions and 500 override-line collections. A dated-payment rule is limited to 6,500 payments, and a plan to 13,000 combined manual/override values. Monetary values must be finite and within the supported absolute limit of 10¹⁵. Names allow 100 characters, source references 500 and comments 4,000. These are validation ceilings, not a promise that an extremely large plan will remain convenient to navigate.

Save the operational plan with its model

The three plans, rules, comments, custom lines and inputs persist with model data; edits participate in the normal undo/history workflow. Native model-file import/export preserves this configuration, while ordinary result exports should not be mistaken for an editable plan backup. The current scenario determines linked baselines when the plan is reopened. See Model files and Comments and history for the shared persistence workflow.

Know what the plan does not provide

13W is an operational cash forecast connected to financial-model sources and configured commitments. It has no bank feed, invoice-level aging, payment execution or automatic posting of operational overrides into the main statements. It does not validate the legal availability of financing or contractual covenant definitions. Use the source assumptions, cash reconciliation and Inspector explanations together; a calculated positive cash balance alone does not verify the underlying operational evidence.
