Operational overrides and reversion

Adjust individual weeks without losing the linked Model baseline or the reusable payment rule.

Read the four values in week detail

Select an editable line and week. Model baseline is its linked source cash. Timing baseline is the result after applying the selected timing or independent cash method. Operational value includes the week’s precision override, if one exists. Variance to model = Operational value − Model baseline. A positive variance therefore means a larger amount on that line; whether that improves cash depends on whether the line is a receipt or a disbursement.

Manual value versus precision override

On a Manual Weekly line, editing the week writes the independent manual amount and removes a separate override for that week. On other editable lines it writes a precision override, replacing that week’s derived timing amount while retaining the rule. Week comments record the reason. Aggregate collections and financing-derived rows are locked; changing them requires their child source or the Financing assumptions.

Apply a value to the remaining weeks

Apply forward writes the selected value and comment to this week and every remaining week in the current thirteen-week window. On a derived line it asks before creating those precision overrides; the timing rule stays saved. On a manual line it writes manual values. It is a repeated amount, not a growth formula or relative percentage change. Review any existing week-specific assumptions before replacing them.

Choose the appropriate reset

Remove override removes only the selected precision override and restores the timing baseline. Revert line to model clears the line’s rule, manual inputs and overrides, returning a linked line to its Model source. Clear line inputs on a custom line removes its inputs and restores its manual method; the custom line itself remains until Remove line is chosen. Undo can restore a mistaken edit. Removing an override does not delete saved manual data.

Preserve context and resolve missing sources

Operational edits belong to the shared 13W plan, not to upstream Revenue, Personnel, AR/AP or Capex assumptions. Model scenario changes still recalculate the linked baseline beneath them. Dated manual inputs and overrides outside a shifted window remain saved. If a linked source is deleted, review the unavailable-source message and restore the source or remove the unmapped dependent input; a familiar old label does not reconnect it automatically.
