Start with the existing debt position
At the plan start, the engine carries forward the Financing ledger’s debt balances and cumulative use of non-revolving commitments. It then applies the operational plan’s cash flows with the same facility terms, dates, priority and Minimum Cash setting. Earlier term borrowing does not become available again merely because a new thirteen-week window starts. The resulting operational debt and cash path belongs to this plan and does not overwrite the main Model forecast.
Follow the weekly funding bridge
Closing cash = Opening cash + Total receipts − Total disbursements + Facility draws − Automatic facility repayments. Disbursements already include derived interest and contractual debt repayments. Automatic Funding can draw only eligible available commitments; optional automatic repayment follows the shared Financing rules. Interest changes with the operational debt path. The financing rows are calculated, so do not enter a second manual draw or interest amount to represent the same movement.
Read funding gaps and liquidity separately
Required Funding is the cash shortfall remaining after available committed funding, not another debt facility. Available Liquidity combines cash and drawable availability; Liquidity Headroom subtracts Minimum Cash. A positive remaining gap can coexist with unused face commitment if dates, maturity, non-revolving usage or configuration make that commitment unavailable. Inspector explains the relevant interval and facility restriction.
Distinguish peaks from week-end minima
The summary identifies lowest closing cash, minimum Available Liquidity and Headroom, first funding-gap week, peak Required Funding and funding need, peak facility draw and ending cash. Required Funding preserves the peak underlying interval inside a week; the lowest-cash and liquidity minima use weekly closing observations. An earlier within-week shortage can therefore remain visible even when that week closes with more cash. Total collections, disbursements and net cash change help reconcile the window.
Use the timeline and Inspector
The funding timeline puts cash, funding and liquidity observations into their weekly context. Select a summary, week or financing value to inspect its bridge, peak gap date and source. With Financing inactive, existing linked Model debt movements remain, but the operational calculation does not invent committed availability or automatic funding. To investigate a real restriction, change its source in Financing or test a supported assumption through Analyze.
