| Additional units | Add a specified quantity to reserved capacity. |
| Target % of closing FD | Calculate only the additional units needed to reach the selected target basis. |
Choose the numerator explicitly
Available/ungranted counts the pool’s unused capacity. All unexercised pool units counts available capacity plus outstanding awards. Neither includes already exercised/settled units in the numerator. A 10% available-pool target and a 10% total-unexercised target are different when grants are outstanding. The denominator is the relevant closing FD share count.
Use a compatible FD basis
Target sizing requires Full reserved pool inclusion, a positive opening FD denominator and a target strictly between 0% and 100%. Otherwise use explicit additional units or deliberately change FD basis. A top-up never reduces capacity merely because the existing percentage is above target. Review opening and closing available units, FD change and target-basis percentage in the action details.
Solve a standalone top-up
Suppose opening FD is 1,000, including 100 available pool units, and the target is 20% available. Additional units x enter both numerator and denominator: (100+x)/(1,000+x)=20%, giving x 125. Closing available is 225 and closing FD 1,125. Entering simply 20% of opening FD would ignore the dilution caused by the new pool units.
Separate standalone and linked treatment
Standalone sizes the pool at its own step. Pre-money or post-money links it to an adjacent active funding round and changes which closing denominator the target describes. Use the funding-round reference before selecting those modes. If combined target assumptions leave no feasible denominator, the action reports an error rather than silently changing the target.
Keep capacity separate from issued shares
A top-up reserves awards; it does not immediately issue company shares. Under full-pool FD it can dilute FD ownership while Basic outstanding remains unchanged. Actual shares arise later through exercise/settlement. Apply closing deliberately if the reserved capacity should become part of the opening ledger.
