Methods and settings
| Method / input | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Manual | Enter a nonnegative equity value in the active monetary display unit. |
| Linked Value output | Use a current available DCF, comparable, precedent or eligible Football Field equity output. |
Select equity, not enterprise value
Choose Equity value source in Cap Table. Active DCF, Trading Comparables and Precedent Transactions expose their equity outputs. Football Field offers available selected non-LBO rows only when its common basis is equity. Ownership reads the existing equity result; it does not build a second EV-to-equity bridge or use an average of Football Field methods. Go to source opens the originating method.
Calculate per-share and holder values
Under Equal treatment per share/unit, Basic value/share = equity/outstanding shares and FD value/share = equity/FD shares. Holder value is the holder’s corresponding units multiplied by that per-share value. Treasury receives no external value allocation. At equity 1,100 and FD 1,100, an included holding of 100 has FD value 100. Basic value may differ because it uses another denominator.
Do not imply equal rights where they differ
Choose Unequal rights · values unavailable when a simple per-unit allocation is inappropriate. Counts and ownership analysis can remain useful, while per-share and holder values show unavailable. Preferred rights, participation caps, liquidation preferences and option exercise proceeds are not automatically included in the base allocation. An economic note explains rights but does not calculate them.
