Methods and settings
| Method / input | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Absolute / percentages | View amounts or supported statement-specific ratios. |
| Growth / Indexed | Compare period changes or a series beginning at 100. |
| Lines / Stacked Area / Percentage Mix | Use the supported chart form for comparable series or additive components. |
Available transformations
Income Statement supports absolute, % Revenue, % Gross Profit, growth and indexed views. Balance Sheet supports absolute, % Total Assets, % Revenue, growth and indexed. Cash Flow supports absolute, % Revenue, % EBITDA, growth and indexed. A ratio needs a meaningful denominator; a missing point is not zero.
Growth is unavailable when the current or preceding value is zero or the sign changes. Indexed series use the first nonzero observation as 100. These transformations change presentation, not the underlying statement or model inputs.
Keep comparisons readable
The chart supports up to six series, counting the combinations of selected items, scenarios and reported/adjusted variants. A single scenario with adjustments can show reported and adjusted series; multiple-scenario comparison uses the effective adjusted series. If the selection exceeds the available comparison scope, reduce it rather than assuming omitted items are included.
Business Line composition
A breakdown requires real additive components. It supports up to eight Business Lines with one scenario, no adjustments and no other compared items. Percentage mix also requires consistent signs; a mixed-sign net total can produce misleading percentages. A component share describes composition. It does not estimate the response to a change in that component’s price, volume or margin. For that question use Key Drivers.
