Methods and settings
| Method / input | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Analyze | Choose the active Layer on the right. |
| Options | Use the controls belonging to the current Layer and its current state. |
| Search | Explicit fallback for a source that is difficult to find in the workspace. |
Select in context
Start a target, input, variable or constraint selection in the Layer. Eligible sources are marked in the workspace. Click the appropriate cell or source, retaining its period, scenario, Business Line and, where relevant, 13W plan. Some multi-selection modes stay active so you can add several items. Use Done or Escape to finish.
Open Search deliberately when needed; it is not an automatic large menu. Refine the query, use arrow keys and Enter, and check the full source identity before choosing. Clicking outside Search closes that surface; it does not silently finish the underlying selection mode.
Read the marker as a role
Target markers identify the output under analysis. X/Y identify Sensitivity axes, T marks Tornado drivers, V Reverse variables and C constraints. Stochastic uses σ markers for configuration and active inputs; ranked markers refer to the displayed ranking. Markers identify analytical roles, not a second financial value or an extra line in the model.
Options, scrolling and stale results
Each Layer retains its own working controls. The contextual Options control changes with the Layer; it does not apply one generic setting to all analyses. Scroll within the Layer and expand results for larger charts or matrices. Returning from the expanded view retains the working context.
Changes to financial inputs or the relevant scenario, period or plan can invalidate a result. Re-run after a stale warning. Changing presentation alone is different from changing economic assumptions. Saving a configuration is not the same as saving completed simulation runs or a solved preview.
