Handbook / Shared product behavior

Copy to Excel and CSV exports

Move supported statement tables as numeric values, with language-aware separators.

Methods and settings

Method / inputBehavior
Copy to ExcelCopies tab-separated labels and numeric values to the clipboard.
CSVDownloads quoted labels and numeric table values.

Copy the relevant table

Select the intended model, scenario and table context before using its supported export control. Paste copied data into a spreadsheet and verify the column labels, periods and numeric interpretation. The clipboard output is tab-separated text. Missing numeric values remain blank; do not treat blank unavailable data as zero.

English and German separators

English CSV uses commas between fields and a decimal point. German CSV uses semicolons between fields and a decimal comma. Labels are quoted and embedded quotes are escaped; the file includes a UTF-8 marker. Clipboard numbers also follow the selected language’s decimal convention. Choose compatible import settings in the receiving spreadsheet if its locale differs.

Values are not an exported calculation engine

These outputs contain numbers and labels, not a formula-preserving XLSX model with dependencies, charts and all operator workspaces. Formatting an exported number in Excel does not reconnect it to BalanceCheat. Use a .balancecheat file for editable model backup and supported SVG/PNG controls for Visualize images. No universal export of every Analyze Layer is implied by the statement table controls.

Share an inspectable model instead of table values

For a read-only financial page with supporting inputs and an editable Fork option, use public model sharing. This is distinct from CSV/clipboard values and from a private .balancecheat file transfer. Public sharing exposes the selected content to anyone; it is not private cloud storage.
