Methods and settings
| Method / input | Behavior |
|---|---|
| WACC × growth | Recalculate perpetuity enterprise value over two valuation assumptions. |
| WACC × multiple | Recalculate exit-multiple enterprise value over discount rate and terminal multiple. |
Set steps around the current assumptions
Open Sensitivity · WACC × growth / multiple inside DCF. Set WACC and growth increments in percentage points and multiple increments in turns. Steps each side accepts 1–5, producing 3–11 points per axis. Two steps each side around 10% WACC with a 1 pp increment gives 8%,9%,10%,11%,12%. The middle cell uses the configured base assumptions.
Read unavailable cells correctly
Each cell is enterprise value, not equity or per-share value. Perpetuity cells require positive WACC above growth; unusable assumptions remain blank. Exit cells need a positive multiple and positive terminal metric. The FCFF and timing settings remain those of the DCF, including any direct terminal-FCFF override. No invalid cell is replaced by zero or averaged into the result.
Connect the grid to Football Field
For each DCF terminal method, the lowest and highest usable grid values supply Low and High; the configured center supplies Mid. The method’s bridge converts those values to the common basis selected in Football Field. Widening the grid changes the displayed range. It does not increase measured statistical uncertainty or create a confidence interval.
Use generic Analyze for other questions
Analyze Sensitivity has its own Target, X/Y selection and ranges. It can examine eligible operating assumptions against DCF equity value, for example. It does not edit these native grid step settings or redefine Football Field’s DCF range. Use Stochastic when you need an explicitly configured probabilistic experiment rather than a deterministic valuation grid.
